I have now learned that these pests are extremely difficult to eraditcate once introduced to a new environment, and expect an uphill battle if my home is now affected. Upon arriving home in western New York, I learned that I had been bitten by Bed Bugs while staying at Turningstone, and most likely had brought them back to my home in my luggage, as they tend to do. As the day went on, the itch of the marks grew intense. I also found three similar marks grouped on the inside of my right thigh. They were slightly itchy, and seemed to swell and harden if scratched. The room did not immediately appear to be unclean (apart from a few stains on the floor), although there was a slight odor that seemed a bit odd.Īt 6am on Sunday morning (May 10), I awoke to find four red marks grouped to the right of my belly button, unlike anything I had ever experienced before.
I stayed on the tenth floor I am not sure if I can tell you which room. I stayed one night at Turningstone on May 9, for a two-day business function.
